Tips for making a delicious cup of instant coffee

Making a delicious, quality cup of instant coffee every time is easier and quicker than brewing a coffee. Here are a couple of tips you can follow to help you make a delicious cup of coffee to savour and enjoy.[1]

  • Ensure you use a clean, dry spoon when decanting coffee from the coffee jar; a wet spoon will leave moisture in the coffee jar which will negatively affect the quality.
  • Regular water is fine to use when making a cup, however let the tap run for a few seconds before filling your kettle. You can also try using filtered water.
  • When making a cup of instant coffee be sure to use water that has been freshly boiled.
  • If you like milk in your coffee, you should add this last to ensure the coffee dissolves properly.
  • If you like a light or mild coffee, try a light roast blend, such as Moccona Classic Light Roast, which is mild in character. If you prefer stronger coffee, a dark roast or espresso would suit your taste. There are also gourmet coffees available with rich fruity and caramel notes for true coffee connoisseurs. Try Moccona Indulgence which is a medium roast with caramel notes.
  • Experiment with the amount of coffee, milk and sugar as this will change the taste profile.
  • Remember to keep your coffee stored in an airtight jar or container, away from sunlight and moisture, and don't store your coffee in the fridge.
